MASTER CLASS with JUSTIN SARGENT | July 2019 

JUSTIN SARGENT was recently seen in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live (ensemble & u/s for Jesus). He has appeared on Broadway in Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark (Peter Parker), Rock of Ages (Drew), and Bonnie & Clyde. Film/ TV: Delocated, Big Exit, Stormchaser, Law & Order: SVU, Winding Waters, Mr. Robot, Royal Pains, and It Could Be Worse. Regional credits include: West Side Story (Tony), Love Actually, Pippin, Jesus Christ Superstar, and High School Musical. Justin is a graduate of the University of Central Florida (BFA Musical Theatre). Students were able to sing for Justin and receive one-on-one feedback as well as gaining valuable industry insight through Justin's storytelling.   Click HERE to see event photos!

MASTERCLASS WITH ADAM PASCAL | August 2018

Participants in our summer theatre production of RENT Jr received inside industry tips and performance feedback from Broadway sensation Adam Pascal who was the original Roger in RENT. Adam provided valuable tips and tricks on stage presence, scene blocking, and auditioning. Session included a Q&A with Adam.  Click HERE to see event photos!

HAMILTON CHOREOGRAPHY - "MY SHOT" | August 2018

We'll break down a section of choreography straight from the Broadway stage! Studio Z choreographer Jennie Gilardoni studied at the Broadway Teacher's Workshop with Hamilton original Broadway cast member Morgan Marcell, to learn a portion of "My Shot" adapted from the original, Tony award-winning choreography. You don't want to miss this workshop! This workshop was open to ALL AGES, student through adult! No dance experience is necessary.

STAGE COMBAT | March 2018

Students learned how to believably engage in unarmed stage combat. Local actor and fight choreographer, Silas Holtz, joins us to explain how to safely throwing punches, get knocked down, and more!

ACCENTS & SPEECH | January 2018

Nick DiCola, former Head of Voice at The Musical Theatre Academy in London, led a workshop on accents and dialects.

RESUME CREATION & HEADSHOTS | Winter 2020 (TBA)

Learn how to take your experience and format it into a resume that you can bring with you on auditions. Also, our Studio Z staff photographer will be on hand to take headshots. Participants must bring a laptop.

AUDITION PREPARATION | Winter 2020 (TBA)

Come prepared with a song and monologue and participate in a mock audition. Students will receive feedback and learn tips for successfully navigating through the audition process.

IMPROVISATION | Winter 2020 (TBA)

Studying improvisation frees the imagination, builds self-confidence, and it's fun! Whether you've studied improv in the past or are a complete novice, this workshop is right for you! Become more spontaneous and receptive to new ideas in a playful, supportive atmosphere. This course will help students become more comfortable in themselves, no matter the situation. Sometimes silly, sometimes outrageous, improv training inspires students to think outside of the box and say "yes" to the unknown!
